Lucas Turns 3!

The little dude turns three today! We can’t believe how fast the time has passed. I still remember very well three years ago Becca waking me up telling me that it was time and we needed to leave now. On the ride over to the hospital I felt like I was going to throw up. When the little guy arrived we were so thrilled but I will have to admit if the movie "the Curious Case of Benjamin Button" had come out we probably would have named him Benjamin. We sure do love our little Lucas, he has so much energy and an amazing imagination. He loves his trains, planes, swimming, cooking, and his baby sister Madison. His newest favorite thing to do is wrestle. Our lives are so blessed with the little man in it.

Worst Bloggers Ever!

It’s official, we are the worst bloggers ever. Life has been pretty crazy and there just doesn’t seem like there is enough time in a day to complete all that we want to do! We have a family friend who had to leave out of town for several months and we have been trying to keep their business a float, it has only added to our insane schedule. All we can say is that we are happy to have so much work when there are so many friends we know who have lost their jobs.

Here are some of the fun things that have happened over the past several months:

The first night in the new house

We finally did it, we have moved!! We have been talking about buying a new home for some time and we finally did it. We love our new house, we now need to make our new house a home. We have boxes everywhere and we still feel disorganized and unsettled.

The house is amazing and we couldn't be happier. It's such a fun floor plan and it's much bigger than our previous house, we hope to be here for a long time and with the square footage we should be fine for the rest of our lives.

Baby Madison Is Crawling, Finally!

Little Madison took her first steps of crawling on the 29th of June. It was so funny because in the middle of crawling she decided she wanted to do some dancing. It has been almost a month since she started crawling, the one dissadvantage to her being on the move is her desire to get into eveything! One of her favorites is getting into the dog food.

June 20th
Italian-Argentine Dinner and Sea Port Village

On Saturday we went to Puerto La Boca with my Mom and Dad, it’s an Argentine Restaurant with the best Bar-B-Q and Argentine cuisine you could ever imagine. The meat platter comes with Chicken, Steak, Pork, and Sausage links. It’s pretty much a heart attack served steaming! Becca loves the restaurant because they make an amazing Argentine Empanada, for those who don’t know what an empanada is one could describe it as a pizza pocket but with different fillings. An Argentine Empanada has meat, eggs, olives, and other good stuff. Right after lunch we stopped off at a Pasta Factory called Anzoniti’s Pasta, we purchased some pasta, nocci makers, olive oil, and a shirt!

Sea Port Village

Later that day we went to Sea Port Village. We had an amazing time, shopping and watching Lucas just have so much fun. We found this toy shop where a bunch of wooden toys are sold, they allow kids to play with everything, it was almost impossible to get little Lucas out of the shop. Grandma Banda just couldn’t resist to buy him everything he was playing with. Between Grandma Sally and Grandma Banda our little ones have more than they could ever ask for. We walked around and played on this lawn near the front of the village. Lucas would run at me as fast as he could and tackle me, it was hilarious to watch. He repeated this for about 15 minutes, on one of the attempted tackles just as he was about to tackle me I jumped right over him. He ate it pretty hard into the ground but he was right back up tackling me again. Lucas also rode the carousal at Sea Port Village he rode on his favorite animal and I think his facial expressions say it all.

June 22nd
The Beach and Ruby’s Dinner

On Monday the 22nd it was a day of just relaxing and hanging out with the Narducci Family. We couldn’t be more grateful to Mom and Dad Narducci planning and providing a wonderful vacation in California. We always have such an amazing time were so many memories are made and wonderful experiences.

I would have never of thought 2 years ago that going down to the beach would be such an expedition. With Madison and Lucas it’s a whole day process. There is the preparation to the beach, the gathering of all the gear, and the setting up of all the gear when you get down there. We didn’t have an umbrella so we had to make a custom canopy for little Madison, we didn’t want her precious little skin to get damaged. Lucas although was hitting his cousin Natalie the whole vacation sure does love being down at the beach with her. Although it’s not exactly the easiest task to go down to the beach it’s worth it watching how much the little ones love being outside and on the beach.

One of our California treats is to go to Ruby’s Dinner on the Pier in Oceanside. This year I will have to admit I was getting pretty grumpy about the whole situation. Becca and I planned several times to go to Ruby’s and it seemed at the last minute we would have to cancel. I was beginning to act like a child and think we would never go. We did end up going at it was such a fun experience. We walked there as the sun was setting and it was just great hanging out with the family walking down the boardwalk and pier.

June 23
San Diego Temple

I think since Becca and I were in High School we have always talked about how bad we wanted to go to the San Diego Temple. We finally made the real effort and went. We woke up early and we drove to San Diego while Grandma Sally stayed with the kids as they slept. The temple was everything we dreamed and imagined it would be. It was so amazingly beautiful, words truly couldn’t describe how beautiful the San Diego Temple is and how we felt inside.

After the temple Becca and I took Natalie and Lucas on a bike ride with our beach cruisers. As stated before Lucas decided he wanted to fight with Natalie throughout the trip, so when we decided to put both of them in the bike trailer I was wondering if I was creating a miniture rage in the cage. They both did really until the ride back to the beach house. Natalie, screamed, "Papi! (she calls me Papi some times-I dont think she knows it means Dad) Lucas hit me back!" I asked did you hit him first? " Yes, but he hit me back!" It was the funniest thing I heard all trip. We stopped and ate some ice cream and I have to say Natalie and Lucas are just the two cutiest kids.

June 24th- Lego Land

I left on Thursday and before we left we had to check out Lego Land. We did the 1 hour shop pass and next year we plan on taking Lucas for an entire day. It was very neat to see all the cool things they had done with Legos.

We had an amazing trip to California, we left the day after Shem got married. Becca stayed for the full two weeks and I flew back and forth. We did so many fun things like the San Diego Zoo, shopping at Seaport Village, hanging out on the beach, riding our beach cruisers, attending a temple session in the San Diego Temple, and visiting Lego Land.

The trip was amazing and a great way to spend time with family.

Although Lucas’ Birthday is on the 12th we had his party on April 11th because the 12th fell on Easter Sunday. We had a small birthday party with some friends and family. We had such a wonderful time, the party was held at Grandma and Papa Narducci’s house and we made it a Luau / Easter theme, considering his Birthday this year fell on Easter.

The Saturday morning of his party made us a little nervous, it had been raining all night and all morning. His party was planned to start at 12 and at 10:30 the gentlemen who owned the Moon Walk-Bouncer called me and asked if we still wanted him to come and setup for the party. Nervously I told him to just come out and we would figure something out. He arrived at 11:30 and literally 5 minutes before he arrived it stopped raining.

The weather was perfect for the party, everyone had a blast and the kids loved the Moon Walk-Bouncer. Lucas and Corbin Moss bounced into each other busting Lucas’ lip and Jeff Moss and I got stuck in the corner rough housing. Jeff got his arm stuck and as he jerked it out he elbowed me in the head. I love how the Moss family needs to rough other people up to feel important.

Becca made a cool looking cake and when Lucas blew out the candles spit was flying everywhere. The kids also enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt and the adults enjoyed some good Bar-B-Q. We a lot of fun and we can’t wait for Lucas’ next birthday Luau.

My Mom would agree that I was the craziest and probably the dirtiest kid in the family. I used to come home with, rocks, bugs, frogs, and anything else I found interesting in my pocket. I saw this cartoon and I'm pretty sure I have done this to my Mom before, this is a pretty good depiction of my childhood.

The Last Banda Boy Will Soon Be Married!

So my little brother Shem and I spend our weekends coaching a Youth Soccer League in Gilbert. We coach about 45 kids, broken into three different class periods. It is a lot of work but we have such a blast coaching. As coaches we are in charge of the students checking in and paying if they hadn’t pre-paid for the season. This becomes challenging at times because parents are signing the roster, paying, and receiving any additional information they may need all while we are trying to get the next class started. We have been very blessed to have Lana (Shem’s Fiancé) help out almost every weekend with the paper work as we get practice started.

This past weekend she came to help out again, she stayed at the check in desk as Shem and I started our second class of young soccer players. Our second class is made up of 7-9 year old kids and they are so much fun, Shem knew that the second class would be the class he would use to help him propose. Shem gathered the kids and explained what he was going to be doing. The kids lined up on a line with their backs to where Lana was, as Shem handed out pennies with letters on them Lana was cutting oranges per Shem’s request. After Shem completed handing out the pennies he asked Lana to come help him with the next drill. He brought her over to where the kids were standing and a little confused to as why Shem asked her to help she asked what she needed to do. Shem told her to just see if the kids were ready and then she realized what was going on. Of course Shem got on one knee and asked her to Marry him. It was a huge surprise, and after the proposal Lana couldn’t stop smiling!

After we got practice going again, I walked over to Lana to congratulate her and one of the little girls who participated told Lana, “that was sooooo romantic” we couldn’t stop laughing!

Our little Madison is our little serious baby, she makes us laugh because it doesn’t matter what we do or say she always has a stone cold face. We can be dancing and singing to her and she will still not crack a smile. We always talk about what a serious little baby she is, but recently our little Miss Serious has broken out of her shell and has shown us some beautiful smiles. Now don’t be fooled she still has her serious moments (90% of the time) but at least we know she is happy to be with us.

Remodeling the Home

Although everyone talks about how this is a buyer’s market for buying a house, Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies should that Americans spent $233 billion last year fixing up their homes and the boom shows no signs of slowing. This is an indicator Americans are remodeling and upgrading their homes as opposed to buying a new homes. Becca and I would love to buy a new home but because of the current economic state I wonder if it would be wise to purchase a home right now. We decided to make some small upgrades to our home and had some (very little) fun doing them. I ask myself is it worth it to keep up with the Joneses? I read a study commissioned by the Wall Street Journal found that the price of keeping a typical home up to current standards over a 30-year period is almost four times the home's purchase price. I guess it’s all personal value! Becca and I figured if we aren’t going to buy a home any time soon we might as well fix it up the way we like it.

Happy New Year!!! I have received several text messages and emails asking why I stopped creating posts, wanting to see new pictures of Lucas and Little Madison. Sorry it has taken so long. The little ones have grown so much, and they keep Becca and I very busy. Lucas always keeps us laughing and also keeps us crying. He talks so much now it’s unbelievable. Little Madison is such a cutie, she is such an easy going baby. She always has a serious face but when she does smile, it’s the most adorable thing ever.

I just can't get enough of Lucas! He is so funny, there isn't a day were he doesn't make us laugh! His new words are "ouch", because he is constantly hurting himself. "No", because he never wants to do what we say and finally "caca", Grandma Banda isn't too happy about that one.

Madison is well, she is such a doll. I'm totally in love with her, I could just hold her all day. I can't wait till she is just a little more alert, but at the same time I want to charish the time of just being able to hold her and not chase or catch her from falling off the bed, couch, chair, table, planters, and everything else Lucas climbs on.

The New Family

This past week has been fun, exciting, and exhausting. The new little baby is so much fun. We are amazed at how much we love Madison already. She was born 6 pounds 9 ounces but the day before we left the hospital she weighed just under 6 pounds. Becca was very concerned and a little frustrated. She spent all night feeding her and she was able to get Madison to gain a little weight. She spends the majority of the day just sleeping. I love to hold her and just watch her sleep, it's so much fun!

Lucas has been staying at his Grandma Sally's house, so it will be interesting to see how Becca and I do with both of the monkeys in the house. Lucas loves to give his little sister kisses and he also likes to honk her noise. Becca is doing very well in comparison to the last cesarean section.

We were talking about it and we have no doubt our Doctor this time was more skilled and qualified. He made sure everything was perfect before he completed the surgery. I heard him several times say before he pulled Madison out, "I'm in no hurry to deliver the baby, lets clean the scar tissue and the scar first." He told us the last surgery didn't look very good, and if Becca tried to do a normal delivery Madison could have burst through the uterus. Becca is walking around and traveling with me around places. With Lucas she was in so much pain and was in bed for at least a week after returning from the hospital.

Everything is going great with the new little one. We can't express enough to our families how thankful and grateful we are to them for all the help and assistance.

Yesterday was a very special day, my wife delivered a precious little girl. We arrived at the hospital at 10:30 am and at 1:05 pm our little girl joined our family. Becca is recovering well and little Lucas loves touching his little sister although I don't think he knows she will be coming home with us.

Lucas In California

I got home late last night from Oceanside; it was a little difficult to leave for a number of reasons. It was hard to leave because I absolutely love California, the weather, beach, surf shops, the sounds of the waves crashing at night, and Ruby’s (a burger restaurant). My flight home was interesting; I was one of thirteen passengers on the flight. Driving home from the airport I realized how much I love Arizona, I'm in love with Gilbert and the weather is to die for!!! When I got home I quickly realized the major reason why it was so difficult leaving. Becca and I have been married for almost 4 years; since we have been married we have spent every night together. It's just not the same being home without Becca and Lucas there. (I know this may sound cheesy) I spent today staring at pictures from my sister-in-laws blog. I stole some pictures from her blog for those of you who don’t know her and have access to her blog.

Hanging Out In Oceanside California!

So much has happened since our last post. We have no idea where to start, so I figured we can start new. Becca's family decided to change things up this year for vacation. Every year for the past several years the Narducci Family has vacationed in Maui, but this year because Becca and I are expecting our second child the same week the vacation was scheduled we had to relocate to Oceanside, California. I know, super sad huh?

We are in a beautiful beach house on the beach for two weeks, it has the most amazing view. Becca and the family arrived here last week, but I have to travel back and forth because of school and work. Here are a few pictures from the trip I think many of you will enjoy.

We went to Sea World this past Friday and we had a blast. Lucas loved Shamu. He loved seeing the Penguins, Sea Otters, Sharks, and so much more. We stayed there for several hours until the little ones were exhausted.

Memorial Day Trash Pick UP!

Every Memorial Day weekend The whole Narducci clan goes up to our property in Vernon to clean the highway we adopted for my Papa. Lucas was such a trooper the whole car ride up!

We all met up at the Safeway in Showlow to pick up groceries for the weekend. They had these fun grocery carts with cars attached to the front for Natalie and Lucas to ride in. After trying to sterilize it as much as possible, we let the munchkins enjoy the ride.

With the crazy change in weather that weekend Lucas was excited to wear his snow boots around the cabin while he was still in his pjs.

On Tuesday night I attended an OB introduction and epidural class with my sister-in-law Erin since she is about to have little Chiarra. While I was away Seth took Lucas to Nellos with his family. The little guy had a feast! It started with drinking a bunch of uncle Shem's Jamba Juice followed by a plate of pasta. It is obvious this little boy is 50% Italian with the way he can throw down the pasta! Apparently the sauce has a harder time finding its way into his mouth.

With Lucas turning one he finally gets to ride in a front facing car seat. He watches everything around him. He loves being able to see what is going on around him and I love looking in the rear veiw mirror and seeing that sweet little face looking back at me!

It is true, our little man just turned one year. I have very mixed emotions about this. There is no way one whole year has past since I brought my little baby home. I have been so lucky to stay home with my sweet boy and watch him grow and progress everyday. We decided to celebrate in Lucas style by having family and friends over for a big luau. We had a Hawaiian BBQ complete with a pig (the little pig cupcakes). We had a great time and appreciate all who were able to come celebrate with us!

He Loves this little car! He has learned to get in and out of it himself already. He will climb in, sit down and start pushing his body forward trying to get me or Seth to push him around.

Thank you Aunt Patti and Uncle Anthony for the basketball hoop. He opened it up and while looking at it started to tip it over.

It startled him a bit at first but started laughing. So everyone started laughing and clapping. He looked all around to take it all in.

This boy is hilarious! I think someone knows he is funny. After he realized he was making everyone laugh he continued to laugh and make faces! He makes me laugh all day!

He had so much fun opening his gifts which surprised me. He was interested in each new toy and somewhat interested in the new clothes. He was spoiled by the amount of gifts he got. He also devourered his cupcake!

L2 had so much fun at his play date a few weeks ago. We went to Freestone park with Karla and Natalie and a couple of Karla's friends. He tried out the swings ffor the first time and loved it! He just sat back and relaxed. We had a little picnic and the little man enjoyed his first brown bag lunch with a jelly sandwich, teddy grahams, and yogurt. Before we left we watched Natalie chase the ducks around the pond.

The Announcement!

We had awaited this week for months (back in march)! Let's just say it wasn't anything we expected it to be. The week started out on Monday night with Lucas projectile vomitting all over the Grandma and Grandpa Banda's Family room. He was sick the entire week! Then I greatly enjoyed getting whatever Lucas had and threw up all night on Tuesday. But we had our ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday and there was no way I was going to miss it after counting down the days! That night we had the family over for the big announcement. Since I was sick, Christa sso lovingly made the cupcakes for me. We have started a tradition that everyone picks a blue or pink frosted cupcake to guess if it is a girl or boy, the we open a gift to announce it. We wrapped a blue little dress to throw everyone off. I wish I hadn't felt so crummy but it was still a lot of fun!

Long Past Easter

Easter has come and gone, and yet I still haven't put up any pictures of my sweet boy! We had a great time spending the afternoon with the Banda side and the evening with the Narducci side. We had our annual Egg hunt ay my parents house, starting with Natalie and Lucas in the front courtyard and the older kiddos (meaning everyone 18 and older!) in the backyard after. Lucas got the hang of it really quickly! He spotted the eggs, snatched them up, tried to eat them, then moved right on to the next area! He loved it!

Americas' Oldest Gold Artifact Discovered - In Shem's Backyard

For those who don't know my little brother served a mission in Peru and served in an area near lake Titicaca, right in his backyard, an anthropologist from UofA made the discovery.

A nine-bead necklace discovered in Peru is the oldest known gold artifact in the Americas, archaeologists say.

The necklace, dated to 2100 B.C., was uncovered in a burial pit near Lake Titicaca next to the jawbone of an adult skull (see Peru map).

Prior to this discovery, the oldest known gold artifacts in the New World were found in central Peru and the Andean highlands at sites dated to around 1500 to 1410 B.C.

The burial pit was found near the ancient settlement of Jiskairumoko, which dates back to 3300 B.C.

The beads were hammered from gold nuggets and suggest the development of an early sedentary culture, said lead study author Mark Aldenderfer, an anthropologist at the University of Arizona.

"What this discovery is really telling us is that the people who were living at this site were undergoing a rather profound social and economic transition towards sedentary life," he said.

"Once that process starts, a lot of the social rules of life when you're a hunter-gatherer change dramatically such that different kinds of institutions are beginning to be created," he added.

The discovery is detailed in this week's issue of the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences.

Sedentary Life

Aldenderfer and his team found the site during an archaeological survey of the region in the mid-1990s and began excavating it in 1999.

The aim of the project was to understand how hunting and gathering cultures became more sedentary and created small villages.

"As we began to excavate, [the site] in fact did have a lot of very cool information—houses that were never discovered in the Andes before and a variety of other kinds of features," Aldenderfer said.

Yesterday the Guinness Book of Records named the vast pool beside the
sea in Chile as the biggest in the world.

But if you fancy splashing out on one of your own - and you have the
space to accommodate it - then beware: This one took five years to
build, cost nearly ?billion and the annual maintenance bill will be
?million.

The man-made saltwater lagoon has been attracting huge crowds to the San
Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, on Chile 's southern coast, since
it opened last month.

Its turquoise waters are so crystal clear that you can see the bottom
even in the deep end.

It dwarfs the world's second biggest pool, the Orthlieb - nicknamed the
Big Splash - in Morocco , which is a mere 150 yards long and 100 yards
wide. An Olympic size pool measures some 50 yards by 25 yards.

Chile 's monster pool uses a computer- controlled suction and filtration
system to keep fresh seawater in permanent circulation, drawing it in
from the ocean at one end and pumping it out at the other.

The sun warms the water to 26c, nine degrees warmer than the adjoining
sea.

Chilean biochemist Fernando Fischmann, whose Crystal Lagoons Corporation
designed the pool, said advanced engineering meant his company could
build "an impressive artificial paradise" even in inhospitable areas.

This past week we found out Lucas has a real love for music. He is always moving to the music and when placed in front of a piano he jams out. This past weekend we went to one of Uncle Nick’s shows where his band was playing (they are awesome). Grandma Sally was holding Lucas, I stood between the stage and Lucas for a brief moment, Lucas quickly pushed me out of the way because I was obstructing his view of the young lady who was performing. His eyes were glued to the performers the majority of the night. The following day we went out to eat and Jack Johnson was playing in the car, while sleeping he began to sing along. He's amazing, and he loves his music!

Driving around the valley for work, like I do everyday I noticed there was snow on Four Peaks Mountains. It was a little weird seeing snow, I realized I didnt like the idea of snow anywhere near the valley. If I wanted snow I would move to Utah! I dont want to live in Utah, so I hope the snow melts and disappears as quickly as possible. I can't wait for the 115 degree summers!

I've been tagged thanks to Karla. So here it goes...a few of my favorite things (in no particular order)...

1. William Sonoma Mulling Spiced Cider! Mmmmm... Delicious! Funny thing is, I used to hate cider until a few Christmas' ago. My mother in law made the best cider ever. Of course I tried it out of the goodness of my heart to not hurt her feelings, and it changed my life forever. I now have my own tin of spice and cute little ball infuser to make my own deliciousness at home.

2. Christmas Time. I don't just like Christmas time, I LOVE IT! There is nothing better than driving through the neighborhood and seeing the houses all decorated and lit up with lights. There is just a different feeling everywhere you go. Going to the stores with all the Christmas Decor out warms me to the core. The earlier the stores break out the Christmas merchandise the better! And it brings a smile to my face when I hear those cheerful tunes over and over again on the radio. Which brings me to number 3.

3. 99.9 Christmas music all day long! And yes the day they start playing is the day I start listening. It makes me less stressed when I drive and I like to think Lucas enjoys me singing along as we run our errands. It would be a shame to only listen to it in the car, so yes, I have it playing in my house in the background all day long! Call me crazy, I might be.

4. My little boys. Oh wait, I guess Seth really isn't so little anymore. Lucas and I await his arrival around 5:30 every weekday. It is amazing how much you can love someone. This coming January marks us being together for 10yrs. It is hard to believe we have come so far. Who would have thought a jr high romance would have grown into something so great. Speaking of great reminds me of how grateful I am for my angel of a baby. Lucas is such a blessing in my life. He keeps me laughing all day and it is amazing how he just melts my heart when he wraps his little arms around my neck and buries is head into my shoulder. Oh how I love him!

5. Oh how I love hot dogs! A warm jumbo dog with all the right toppings. I don't really mind what's on it as long as the flavors blend well. Best combo... spicy mustard with sauerkraut (Nick introduced me to sauerkraut while in Utah for Mike and Karla's wedding).

6. Sunday dinners. We trade off every other Sunday between families so everyone gets a little piece of us. It is so fun to just relax and spend time with the families. Who doesn't like a day filled with eating great food, playing games and watching movies. I love spending time with family.

7. Disneyland. Need I say more, it is only the happiest place on earth! Where else can you get frozen lemonade, churros, bagel dog (a glorified hot dog I might add), great hot chocolate in a souvenir mug, and ride Pirates of the Caribbean all in the same place? It's like Heaven on earth...besides the Temple.

8. I guess I'll wrap it with something spiritual. I love going to the Temple. I enjoy walking the grounds, looking at Christmas lights, going to the Visitors Center, doing a session, or going to a sealing. The feeling while inside the Temple cannot be replaced. And may I add they even have a cafeteria! Delicious. We always try to hit it up on the way out after a session.

Thank Goodness for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started out with our traditional Turkey Cup (That's Soccer Style of course). Unfortunately I don't remember who won since it came to an abrupt stop when Seth injured his knee again. (Luckily he will be getting surgery on it soon!) But it was fun while it lasted. That afternoon we went to the Banda's house to eat for Shem's first Thanksgiving back. Delicious! Later we went to the Narducci home for, yes, more food and dessert. The Banda family joined us over there to watch the USC vs ASU game.

Lucas is enjoying his Thanksgiving meal served by Grandma Narducci and Aunt Diana while the other boys lounge around watching football.

Shem finally returned from Peru after serving a mission for two years! This was the first time he was able to really see Lucas! It was so fun to have so many family and friends gather at the airport to welcome him home. We all knew Shem was popular, but Channel 3 News found out he was returning so came out there to do a whole story on him! J/K! They were there reporting on holiday traveling and things and decided to do a story on his homecoming. (Still cool).

Safari Animals

To remember his first trip to the Zoo, we had to get a souvenir. His little safari Jeep carries a little giraffe, elephant, tiger, and hippo. They make cute little animal noises when you squeeze them. By the look on his face you would think maybe mom likes them more than he does!

After 10 years of trying to go back to Zoo Lights Karla invited us to go with her and some of her family. Of course upon arrival Lucas and Natalie were sleeping. After walking to the Zebra exibit they both awoke with the lights twinkling in their eyes. Since most of the wild life was sleeping I guess we will have to consider Karla, Natalie, Lee and his kids, and Alisa and her kids, the only wild life out.

Usually Lucas goes to bed without a fuss. I lay him in his crib, tell him how much we love him, say good night and close the door. I always check back in on him a few minutes later, you know, to make sure he is breathing and things. To my surprise, the other night I walk into a wide eyed Lucas (as if there is any other kind of Lucas) sitting up smirking and laughing. Caught in action! His head was well above the railing and he likes to pull on his bumpers. Needless to say we lowered the crib that night.

The holidays are here and I couldn't be happier! I love this time of year! Seth and I found the cutest Santa costume for Lucas. We were just putting it on him for fun, but once we realized how darn cute he looked in it we found our selves at the register with costume in hand!
Papa Narducci helps with Temple lights every year. He gets to go through each strand of lights for his area and test them to make sure they work. So for family night a few of us went down to help him. Lucas loved looking at all the lights and got a sneak preview of the new wise men.

Bonding Time

Seth's dad used to always tell me he needed to have "bonding time" with Seth. He would tell me when Seth got home from his mission we couldn't get married right away because they were going to take all these trips together to have bonding time. That's when I would roll my eyes and say "we'll see about that". Now, having a the cutest little boy around and seeing him spend time with his dad, I see how great bonding time can be. Lucas has a blast with his dad whether his dad is singing the theme to Mission Impossible while making him do acrobatics, having his dad feed him solids for the first time or just lounging in front of the tv hanging out.

The day was crazy with excitement, I went with elder Olsen to the bank and returning back we saw a monkey that was really small and sweet. I don't know exactly what happened but I was then walking away with 60 soles less in my wallet and a monkey on my shoulder. It really had no logic so.... um I have a pet monkey don't worry I took it to the vet, all the "what not stuff" is taken care of. Well I didn't have time to explain to president that I had a pet monkey. I went to the appointment with Hno Torres again and he said his wife wants to be baptized with him, sweet blessing!!! Then I bought the monkey a sweeet collar and he was going to be called Gorge (curios) but we went with the name CHAYO, it's the name of the monkey in the Movie Testaments. So I took the monkey home and he slept with his banana and in a bag filled with a towels where he was out cold.

We woke up late on Sunday morning and went to the same breakfast place as the day before, we enjoyed another great meal but missed the waiter from the day before. After we ate we drove around and then we went to the beach. Lucas loved the ocean spray on his face. We went to the airport only to find out that we would be unable to fly home on Sunday. So we spent another night with Grandma and Grandpa Banda and we enjoyed a amazing Argentine meal. The place was soooo good, Puerto la Boca was the name of the place. We love our California trip!

We enjoyed a large breakfast before we went to Sea World. The breakfast was fantastic, Becca ordered the waffle combo and it even came with "fresh cut strawberries," she loves when they do that. After breakfast we went to Sea World were we met up with our cousin who is serving in the Navy. We enjoyed so many shows, like Clyde and Seamore, Shamu, Sting Rays, and the Penguins! We spent all day there and even though there was an overcast we still got burnt. Grandma Banda was burnt on her head and arms. Lucas slept the whole time! He loved Sea World it was the best nap ever. He sported his Sunglasses, Hat, and his "Fanct Pants" like Grandpa Banda says.

California Trip ( Lucas's First Out of State Trip)

The trip was very interesting, it started off at the Sky Harbor Airport. Becca and I decided at the last minute not to drive. The night before Grandpa Banda called Holly member in his ward that works for US Airways if there was anyway we could get tickets because every where else was very expensive. We got stand by tickets and we were bumped two times on the way over to California. Lucas hated the decent of the plane, it bothered his ears. We didnt arrive in San Diego till 9:00 at night. When we got there we checked into the hotel room and walked around Old Town San Diego. The weather was amazing. We enjoyed a great snack at Freds one of the many local Mexican restaurants located in Old Town San Diego.

Seth currently works at the University of Phoenix but has accepted a job offer working in the corporate office of Pioneer Sand Company. He plans to continue to attend the University of Phoenix to complete his Degree in Business Management. He is also currently working on opening a Tuxedo Shop. He loves his new son Lucas vey much and can't wait to see him after work every day!

Rebecca has had the rollercoaster of her life. She started attending International Hair Academy March of 2006. In August of 2006 she found out that she was expecting to be a Mother in April. She worked very hard to finish school before the baby came, she didn't want to have to return to school after having the baby. She stayed for several hours extra everyday, and took extra classes to complete her required time before the baby. She finished her schooling the Wednesday before the baby came.

On the morning of April 12th we rushed to the hospital to find that our baby had flipped the other way, and Becca needed an emergency c-section. Her recovery is coming slow but she loves being a mother! She is now currently enjoying her time with her new baby boy Lucas Anthony Banda.
